Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Custodial experience preferred
- Physical ability to lift push pull or squat 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk 90 percent of work period
- Ability to walk stairs and negotiate uneven surfaces
- Must be able to interact directly with patient population
- Must exhibit consistently high level of customer service and Patients First sensibility

- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Custodial experience preferred
- Physical ability to lift push pull or squat 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk most of the work period
- Ability to walk stairs and negotiate uneven surfaces
- High visibility interaction with patient population
- Consistently high level of customer service with Patients First sensibility
Job Duties
- Prepares patient rooms for new admissions including restocking linen and paper supplies
- Operates ultraviolet disinfection equipment such as Xenex Robot
- Reports mechanical failures and negative conditions for maintenance
- Notifies supervisor when supplies are low or need to be ordered
- Maintains departmental policies, quality assurance, environmental and infection control standards
- Maintains confidentiality of patient and unit data per HIPAA regulations
- Cooperates with personnel to achieve departmental objectives and maintain good employee relations
- Sets up rooms, moves furniture, removes medical non-regulated and recycled waste
- Performs housekeeping duties including cleaning walls, ceilings, floors and windows
- Changes and hangs drapes and cubicles
- Delivers and picks up tables and chairs for meetings and hospital functions
- Operates various floor machines to clean and strip floors
- Cleans after construction projects and prepares areas for use
- Enhances job related growth through educational programs and workshops
- Performs all other duties as assigned
