Job Requirements
- No degree or diploma required
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Flexibility to work varied shifts
- Willingness to perform physical tasks including moving beds and furniture
- Ability to adhere to hospital cleanliness and safety standards
- Ability to complete necessary paperwork
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated skill in reading and following directions
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to work varied shifts including 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Ability to perform detailed cleaning in specialized areas such as labor and delivery and NICU
- Experience in maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in a healthcare environment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently
Job Duties
- Obtain and complete assigned cleaning or maintenance requests from automated system, daily assignment sheet, or verbal direction
- Perform moving of beds or furniture as needed to support cleaning and customer service
- Follow departmental and organizational processes to complete duties
- Complete all required paperwork to monitor departmental statistics
- Follow proper use and cleanliness protocols for all equipment used in job performance
- Notify appropriate areas through work order process and other paperwork to maintain equipment and supplies
- Keep assigned carts and areas stocked to appropriate levels including linen distribution
- Complete other duties such as storeroom maintenance to meet hospital cleanliness and safety standards
- Provide high-level customer service to patients and all other customers across the OhioHealth organization
