Job Requirements
- must be 16 years or older
- 16- and 17-year-olds require a valid work permit if no diploma or GED
- 18-year-olds enrolled in high school do not require diploma, GED, or work permit
- preferred high school diploma or GED for those over 18 and not in high school
- ability to perform physical tasks including moving beds or furniture
- ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
- willingness to work evening shifts as needed
Job Qualifications
- no degree or diploma required
- valid work permit required for 16- and 17-year-olds without high school diploma or GED
- enrollment in high school exempts 18-year-olds from diploma/GED/work permit requirements
- high school diploma or GED preferred for individuals over 18 not enrolled in high school
Job Duties
- obtains assigned cleaning or maintenance requests from automated systems, daily assignments, or verbal directions
- performs additional tasks such as moving beds or furniture to facilitate cleaning processes
- follows departmental and organizational procedures to complete duties accurately
- completes necessary paperwork to track departmental statistics
- uses all required equipment properly and maintains cleanliness of equipment
- reports equipment issues through work order processes
- stocks assigned carts and areas to appropriate levels including linen distribution
- completes other duties as assigned such as storeroom maintenance
- provides high-level customer service to patients and other customers throughout the organization
