Job Requirements
- No degree or diploma required
- valid work permit for individuals aged 16 and 17 without diploma
- high school diploma or GED preferred for individuals over 18 not in high school
- willingness to work day shifts
- ability to adhere to hospital cleanliness and safety standards
- availability for approximately 32 scheduled weekly hours
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred for individuals over 18 and not in high school
- valid work permit required for 16- and 17-year-old individuals without high school diploma or GED
- enrolled high school students aged 18 do not require diploma, GED or work permit
- ability to provide excellent customer service
- capacity to follow specific instructions and organizational policies
- good communication skills
- physical ability to move beds and furniture when necessary
Job Duties
- Obtains assigned cleaning or maintenance requests from automated systems, daily assignment sheets or verbal directions
- performs various functions including moving beds or furniture as required
- follows departmental and organizational processes to complete duties
- completes paperwork to monitor departmental statistics
- follows proper usage and maintenance of cleaning equipment
- notifies appropriate area through work orders to keep equipment operational
- keeps carts and areas stocked with necessary supplies, including linen distribution
- completes additional duties such as storeroom maintenance to meet hospital cleanliness and safety standards
- provides high level of customer service to patients and other customers throughout the organization
