Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Six months demonstrated customer service related work experience required
- Must successfully complete Environmental Services Department training program and achieve competence
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to participate as a member of the patient care team
- Must be physically able to lift 30 to 40 pounds, bend frequently, push and pull work carts, and stand throughout the shift
Job Qualifications

- Six months of customer service related experience required
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of the patient care team
- Completed Environmental Services Department training program and demonstrated competence in duties
Job Duties
- Follows department procedures to ensure a safe environment
- Sets up equipment and prepares necessary supplies
- Completes housekeeping assignments according to schedule and procedure
- Reports uncompleted tasks and discrepancies to supervisor
- Performs cleaning tasks including dusting vents, furniture, walls, and maintaining bathrooms
- Collects and disposes of waste and recycling properly
- Handles and disposes of medical waste and sharps with required precautions
- Maintains bed management system and ensures timely patient room turnover
