Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- knowledge of infection control and isolation procedures
- ability to operate cleaning equipment
- experience in janitorial or healthcare cleaning preferred
- physical ability to perform cleaning tasks
- capacity to follow protocols for biohazardous waste disposal
- capability to utilize bed management technology
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
Job Duties
- Cleans assigned patient and public areas daily
- collects and removes trash
- sanitizes all surfaces
- stocks paper items, cleaning solutions, and other supplies as necessary
- demonstrates complete knowledge of infection control and isolation procedures
- operates cleaning equipment properly
- utilizes Bed Management system to maintain bed throughput using hand-held technology
- collects and stages soiled linen for pick up
- disposes of normal and biohazardous waste
- cleans and disinfects areas containing bodily fluids
- documents all work performed
- accesses ancillary units, restrooms, and offices in assigned areas
