Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- ability to perform full body motions including lifting, bending, stooping, crouching, squatting and reaching
- ability to walk and stand continuously on hard surfaces
- ability to handle disinfectants and cleaning agents safely
- ability to exert light physical work involving 11 to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds constantly
- willingness to follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment
- availability to work varying 8-hour shifts including every other weekend and some holidays
Job Qualifications

- ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures

Job Duties
- clean patient rooms, ancillary areas, exam rooms, offices, waiting areas, public restrooms, discharge rooms and other assigned areas
- wipe down surfaces, clean spills, empty garbage cans, clean furniture and other tasks as assigned
- stock paper items and other supplies in exam rooms and restrooms
- inform team leader and supervisory team when low on supplies
- follow departmental policies and standard operating procedures
- follow and adhere to hospital wide and departmental quality and safety requirements
- complete one to three months of on-the-job training to learn departmental policies and procedures, various cleaning techniques and proper use and storage of cleaning agents and chemicals
