Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- experience in healthcare environment preferred
- ability to work night shifts from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. including weekends
- ability to perform full body motion including lifting, bending, stooping, crouching, squatting and reaching
- ability to continuously walk and stand on hard surfaces
- ability to handle disinfectants and cleaning chemicals safely
- ability to exert light physical work including moving objects up to 20 pounds occasionally
- adherence to standard precautions and use of personal protective equipment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- healthcare experience
Job Duties
- Clean patient rooms, ancillary areas, exam rooms, offices, waiting areas, public restrooms, discharge rooms and other assigned areas
- stock paper items and other supplies in patient rooms, exam rooms and restrooms
- follow scripting, policies and procedures on patient isolation and all Environmental Services technical and procedural standard operating procedures
- follow and adhere to all hospital-wide and departmental safety requirements
- clean up spills, body fluid, bed bugs etc.
- complete one to three months of on-the-job training to learn departmental policies and procedures, various cleaning techniques and proper use and storage of cleaning agents and chemicals
