Job Duties
- Cleans patient rooms including trash removal, wiping surfaces, bathing areas, and restocking supplies
- cleans nursing units and public medical and office areas such as nurses stations, conference rooms, bathrooms, storage rooms, kitchens, hospital entrances, waiting areas, corridors, restrooms, locker rooms, sleep rooms, offices, examination rooms, treatment rooms, and emergency rooms
- responds to requests for STAT cleaning
- performs project work including buffing, stripping, waxing floors, cleaning carpets, mats, upholstered furniture, windows, curtains, blinds, scraping paint from fixtures and equipment, and moving furniture and supplies
- stocks cleaning cart and supply closets, and mixes cleaning solutions from concentrate
- reports deficiencies in patient rooms and throughout the hospital to supervisors or management
- performs terminal cleaning using UV machine in operating rooms, patient rooms, restrooms, and public areas and operates electronic tablet for cycle initiation and data collection
