Job Requirements
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions in English
- secondary school education or equivalent
- three to six months of relevant on-the-job training
- physical capability to walk, stand, bend, push, and pull continuously
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- experience working in healthcare or similar environments
- adherence to safety protocols including use of personal protective equipment
- willingness to work night shifts and rotating weekends and holidays

- knowledge of hospital cleaning protocols and safety measures

Job Duties
- Scrubs/strips floors to remove all soil and finish/wax to base of floor
- refinishes/recoats floors and buffs to a glossy appearance
- operates power equipment
- shampoos carpets and removes spots from carpets
- checks power equipment and transports to assigned work area
- performs daily cleaning and restocking in assigned areas according to floor schedules and department procedures
- operates UV-Light according to department policies
- sets up meeting and conference rooms
- performs routine and terminal cleaning of procedural areas including Operating Rooms and Cath Lab
- maintains surplus storage areas and equipment rooms in an orderly and safe condition
- reports necessary repairs to supervisor
- prepares cleaning solutions
- cleans elevators, restrooms, vents, lights, aluminum surfaces, ceilings, walls, rugs, and carpets
- hangs and changes drapes and cubicle curtains
- transports trash and compacts it per hospital protocols
- performs duties following fire or internal/community disaster procedures
- ensures adherence to departmental policies, quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control standards
- performs duties of ESD Aide as directed
- completes runner tasks including transporting dirty laundry, supplies, furniture, and equipment
- performs other assigned duties
