Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in environmental or janitorial services preferred
- knowledge of hospital infection control standards
- ability to use personal protective equipment correctly
- physical capability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
- ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures
- willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- commitment to workplace safety and confidentiality
- ability to communicate effectively
- completion of mandatory training and compliance with hospital policies
Job Qualifications

- previous experience in hospital environmental services preferred
- knowledge of infection control practices
- ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols
- familiarity with handling medical waste
- understanding of safety and PPE usage

- physical ability to perform cleaning duties including lifting and standing

Job Duties
- Performs standardized operating room decontamination procedures
- follows infection control protocols specific to surgical environments
- removes and transports soiled linens and regulated medical waste
- cleans and disinfects operating room tables, attachments, light fixtures, and furnishings
- restores operating room set-up to start position
- inspects cleaning through visual and ATP monitoring
- performs seven-step cleaning of assigned hospital areas
- handles general and infectious waste per hospital procedures
- observes infection control and safety guidelines
- performs project work including floor and wall cleaning
- maintains clinical area surfaces such as buffing and carpet cleaning
