- Ability to operate all types of housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, auto-scrubbers, pressure / steam cleaning machines
- Fire Safety card within 90 days of hire

Job Duties
- Provides daily patient room cleaning including trash removal, high and low dusting, dust mopping, mopping, bathroom cleaning and replenishing dispensers
- Provides discharge patient room cleaning including trash removal, sanitizing furniture, high and low dusting, wall washing, the stripping, cleaning and making of the bed and replenishing supplies
- Cleans common areas and provides routine corridor cleaning in assigned area
- Follows the hospital and department policies and procedures to perform cleaning of support areas such as offices, supply areas, nurses' stations, waiting areas, utility rooms
- Maintains adequate supplies for standard precautions and properly utilizes isolation techniques
- Handles biohazardous waste properly including the changing of sharps containers
