Job Requirements

  • Equivalent to two years of high school preferred
  • Ability to read and follow instructions
  • Up to three months to become proficient in all aspects of the position
  • Availability to work night shifts from 11PM to 7:30AM
  • Willingness to work every weekend and holiday
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning duties
  • Ability to use cleaning agents and equipment safely
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff respectfully

Job Qualifications

  • Equivalent to two years of high school preferred
  • Ability to read and follow instructions
  • Ability to become proficient in job duties within three months
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to cleaning protocols
  • Good communication skills for patient and staff interaction

Job Duties

  • Coordinates with the nursing staff and supervisor to clean occupied rooms first, checks empty rooms, attends to emergency cleaning for spills
  • Uses appropriate cleaning agents and techniques in washing and cleaning patient rooms daily
  • Uses appropriate cleaning agents and techniques in washing and cleaning restrooms, refills toilet tissue, paper towels and soap dispensers
  • Performs periodic detail cleaning such as IV poles, blood pressure cuff leads, suction bottles, closets and curtains/blinds
  • Dry mops and damp mops corridors, spot washes corridor and elevator landings
  • Maintains all carpets through vacuuming, extracting, bonnet cleaning and spot cleaning
  • Hangs curtains if needed, checks and cleans own equipment, reports maintenance or repairs needed immediately
  • Continuously displays a can do attitude and engages appropriately with patients and visitors to support the customer service program
  • Uses appropriate cleaning agents and techniques in washing and cleaning isolation patient rooms, wearing proper protective clothing
  • Has knowledge of mixing and using cleaning agents properly
