Job Requirements
- minimal education
- ability to read and write English
- physical ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently
- ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- normal vision with or without correction
- normal hearing with or without correction
- ability to climb intermittently
- ability to push/pull 70-150 pounds
- ability to lift 10-40 pounds
- willingness to be exposed to chemicals, bioburden, and cleaning products
Job Qualifications
- minimal education
- ability to read and write English
- previous housekeeping experience preferred
- knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of related equipment
- understanding of safety and infection control procedures
- physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting and pushing
- good communication skills
Job Duties
- clean assigned areas including patient areas, residence areas, offices, laboratories, restrooms, exam rooms, treatment rooms, and lobbies
- uphold the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of the MetroHealth System
- use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to maintain cleanliness and hygiene
- ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols
- report any maintenance or safety issues encountered during cleaning
- collaborate with other staff members to support hospital operations
- maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment as needed
