Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

- Knowledge of maintaining a sterile environment including proper cleaning procedures
- Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram or schedule instructions

- Ability to operate environmental service equipment

- Ability to handle multiple tasks in an interruptive environment
- Problem-solving skills to select appropriate solutions from established options
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with peers and staff
Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, attractive and safe environment in assigned areas
- Perform cleaning of patient rooms, offices, hallways and other facility areas
- Handle transport, equipment, room setup, trash removal, and linen management duties
- Distribute supplies to departments and maintain stock levels
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, patients, and hospital personnel
- Adhere to local, state and federal sanitization and safety regulations
- Operate basic environmental service equipment such as floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, washers, and dryers
