Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or general education diploma
  • ability to perform physical cleaning duties
  • ability to work variable evening shifts including every other weekend
  • ability to follow safety and sanitization protocols
  • capability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • capacity to manage multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions
  • willingness to comply with hazardous drug handling procedures according to NIOSH and USP 800 guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or general education diploma
  • knowledge of maintaining sterile environments and cleaning procedures
  • ability to operate basic environmental service equipment such as floor cleaners and buffers
  • written and verbal communication skills
  • well-developed time management and organizational skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • ability to identify and resolve standard problems
  • ability to interpret written, oral and diagram instructions
  • collaboration skills to build relationships with peers and staff

Job Duties

  • maintains a clean, attractive and safe environment in assigned areas
  • performs a variety of cleaning tasks in patient rooms, offices, hallways and other assigned areas
  • transports materials and handles equipment efficiently
  • sets up rooms as needed for various functions
  • removes trash and handles linen duties
  • distributes supplies to departments and maintains stock levels
  • adheres to local, state and federal sanitization and safety regulations
