Job Requirements
- high school diploma or general education diploma
- ability to perform physical cleaning duties
- ability to work variable evening shifts including every other weekend
- ability to follow safety and sanitization protocols
- capability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- capacity to manage multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions
- willingness to comply with hazardous drug handling procedures according to NIOSH and USP 800 guidelines
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or general education diploma
- knowledge of maintaining sterile environments and cleaning procedures
- ability to operate basic environmental service equipment such as floor cleaners and buffers
- written and verbal communication skills
- well-developed time management and organizational skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ability to identify and resolve standard problems
- ability to interpret written, oral and diagram instructions
- collaboration skills to build relationships with peers and staff
Job Duties
- maintains a clean, attractive and safe environment in assigned areas
- performs a variety of cleaning tasks in patient rooms, offices, hallways and other assigned areas
- transports materials and handles equipment efficiently
- sets up rooms as needed for various functions
- removes trash and handles linen duties
- distributes supplies to departments and maintains stock levels
- adheres to local, state and federal sanitization and safety regulations
