Job Requirements
- Equivalent to two years of high school preferred
- up to three months to become proficient in all aspects of the position
- ability to read and follow instructions
- willingness to work evening shifts from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm including every weekend and every other holiday
- ability to wear proper protective clothing as required during cleaning
- capacity to interact respectfully and professionally with patients and visitors
Job Qualifications

- experience with cleaning procedures and use of cleaning chemicals
- knowledge of infection control practices
- good communication and customer service skills
Job Duties
- Coordinates with the nursing staff and supervisor to clean occupied rooms first, checks empty rooms, attends to emergency cleaning for spills
- uses appropriate cleaning agents and techniques in washing and cleaning patient rooms daily
- uses appropriate cleaning agents and techniques in washing and cleaning restrooms
- performs periodic detail cleaning
- dry mops and damp mops corridors
- maintains all carpets
- hangs curtains and checks the condition of their own equipment
