Job Requirements
- high school diploma or general education diploma (ged)
- valid drivers license (for maternity and surgery center departments)
- auto insurance (for maternity and surgery center departments)
- knowledge of sterilization procedures
- ability to interpret data instructions and schedules
- written and verbal communication skills
- time management and organizational skills
- ability to operate environmental service equipment
- ability to work independently and in a team
- ability to handle hazardous drugs according to niosh and usp 800 guidelines
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or general education diploma (ged)
- knowledge of maintaining a sterile environment including proper cleaning procedures and equipment
- ability to interpret written oral diagram and schedule instructions

- ability to operate basic environmental service equipment

Job Duties
- maintains a clean attractive and safe environment in assigned areas by performing cleaning transport equipment handling room set-up trash removal and linen handling duties
- performs general cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms offices hallways and other assigned areas
- distributes supplies to departments and maintains stock levels
- adheres to all local state federal regulations codes policies and procedures to ensure sanitization and safety
- communicates effectively with team members supervisors patients and other hospital personnel
- operates basic environmental service equipment including floor cleaners buffers vacuums washers and dryers
- works independently and as part of a team to prioritize and accomplish tasks
