Job Requirements
- minimum education equivalent to two years of high school preferred
- up to three months to become proficient in all aspects of the position
- ability to work evening shifts from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm every weekend and every other holiday
- ability to read and follow instructions
- willingness to work in a hospital environment
- physical ability to perform cleaning duties including lifting and moving equipment
Job Qualifications
- equivalent to two years of high school preferred
- ability to read and follow instructions
- experience in cleaning or janitorial services is beneficial but not required
- familiarity with healthcare environment cleaning standards is a plus
Job Duties
- Coordinates with nursing staff and supervisor to prioritize cleaning occupied rooms
- uses appropriate cleaning techniques to wash patient rooms daily
- cleans and maintains restrooms including replenishing supplies
- performs detail cleaning of medical equipment and closet areas
- mops corridors and elevator landings
- maintains carpets through vacuuming, extracting and spot cleaning
- handles curtain hanging and equipment maintenance
- displays a positive attitude interacting with patients and visitors
- ensures isolation rooms are cleaned using proper protective clothing
- knows the correct mixing and use of cleaning agents
