Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English sufficiently to carry out the duties of the position
- prior experience in institutional environmental services is preferred

Job Duties
- Keeps patient and non-patient areas of the facility clean, safe, and orderly condition
- cleans hospital patient rooms, baths, showers, laboratories, offices, corridors, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other areas as assigned using approved cleaners and hospital approved germicide
- strips linen from beds, washes beds and mattresses using hospital approved germicide, remakes beds after discharge
- dusts furniture and equipment, empties waste baskets, trash, recycling and medical waste containers, washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels and sills, polishes metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings
- transports trash and waste to disposal area
- performs light moves and set ups
- performs other related duties as assigned
