Job Requirements

  • One year of knowledge within acute care hospital environmental service techniques, practices and procedures preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must be able to read, understand and communicate effectively
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to travel between facilities without assistance
  • Ability to respond to communications via phone or radio
  • Commitment to quality and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to read, understand and communicate effectively
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment

Job Duties

  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness within the hospital and adjacent buildings
  • Travel between different facilities as needed without assistance
  • Respond promptly to communications via phone, handheld radios, or pagers
  • Perform thorough cleaning of patient rooms, common areas, and specialized hospital environments
  • Dispose of waste materials according to hospital protocols
  • Ensure compliance with infection control standards
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to appropriate personnel
