Job Requirements
- High school diploma preferred or equivalent
- minimum of 1 year formal housekeeping experience preferred
- preferred experience in hospital or healthcare setting
- basic verbal and written communication skills required
- ability to work independently without direct supervision required
- strong customer service skills required
- basic computer skills required
- required fingerprinting per State of Alaska
- may require valid driver’s license

Job Duties
- Ensure that assigned areas are cleaned and disinfected according to departmental procedures
- dust, mop, vacuum, spot clean carpets, wash walls, ceilings, furniture and fixtures
- empty trash
- restock supplies
- wash and make beds
- set up furniture in conference rooms
- maintain housekeeping cart, restock paper receptacles, replace sharps containers, and order supplies
- clean and store equipment properly
- respond to emergency cleaning needs promptly
- communicate with clinical personnel to determine priority of cleaning needs
- perform Operating Room turnover cleaning and stocking
- perform other duties as assigned
