Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year formal housekeeping experience preferred
- Experience in hospital or healthcare setting preferred
- May be required to hold a valid driver’s license
- Basic verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision
- Strong customer service skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift and move objects frequently
- Ability to work in noisy environment
- Ability to handle biohazards, body fluids, and chemicals
- Vision and hearing within normal limits
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred or equivalent

Job Duties
- Ensures assigned areas are cleaned and disinfected according to departmental procedures
- Dusts, mops, vacuums, spot cleans carpets, washes walls, ceilings, furniture and fixtures
- Empties trash and restocks supplies
- Washes and makes beds
- Maintains housekeeping cart, restocks paper receptacles, replaces sharps containers, and orders supplies
- Responds to emergency cleaning needs promptly
- Communicates with clinical personnel to determine priority of cleaning needs
- Performs other duties as assigned
