Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in housekeeping or environmental services
- ability to lift at least 50 lbs
- capacity to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
- must follow infection control protocols
- availability to work weekends and holidays
- strong attention to detail
- good communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience, hospital or healthcare setting preferred
- knowledge of basic cleaning and sanitation practices
- ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift
- willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, clinical areas, waiting rooms, and other assigned hospital spaces following infection control standards
- remove trash, soiled linen, and biohazard waste in compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines
- restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in designated areas
- operate cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers, vacuums, and other tools as needed
- respond promptly to cleaning requests and spills to ensure patient and staff safety
- follow daily cleaning checklists and maintain documentation as required
- maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
