Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in housekeeping or environmental services
  • ability to lift at least 50 lbs
  • capacity to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
  • must follow infection control protocols
  • availability to work weekends and holidays
  • strong attention to detail
  • good communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience, hospital or healthcare setting preferred
  • knowledge of basic cleaning and sanitation practices
  • ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift
  • willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, clinical areas, waiting rooms, and other assigned hospital spaces following infection control standards
  • remove trash, soiled linen, and biohazard waste in compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines
  • restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in designated areas
  • operate cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers, vacuums, and other tools as needed
  • respond promptly to cleaning requests and spills to ensure patient and staff safety
  • follow daily cleaning checklists and maintain documentation as required
  • maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
