Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or environmental services preferred
  • Ability to follow infection control procedures and safety regulations
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning duties including lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience hospital or healthcare setting preferred
  • Knowledge of basic cleaning and sanitation practices
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, clinical areas, waiting rooms, and other assigned hospital spaces following infection control standards
  • Remove trash, soiled linen, and biohazard waste in compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines
  • Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in designated areas
  • Operate cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers, vacuums, and other tools as needed
  • Respond promptly to cleaning requests and spills to ensure patient and staff safety
  • Follow daily cleaning checklists and maintain documentation as required
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
