Job Qualifications
- ability to speak, read and write English
Job Duties
- dust, damp mop, spot clean and disinfect fixtures and furnishings in patient and non-patient areas
- vacuum and spot clean mats and carpets as assigned
- empty, clean and re-line waste baskets
- transport regular and contaminated waste to the utility room
- wash and disinfect bed or crib at discharge and prepare bed for new occupant
- follow isolation cleaning procedures to prevent spread of pathogens
- clean and disinfect bathroom fixtures, mirrors, windows, doors, walls and replenish bathroom supplies
- notify supervisor when supplies are low
- write work orders for repairs needed in assigned areas
- maintain tools and equipment and ensure economical use of supplies
- attend in-services, required meetings and educational programs
