Job Requirements

  • Ability to read and recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers
  • Good working knowledge and capability of accessing and using department related computer systems such as Bed Management systems
  • Must be able to complete required mandatory educational training
  • No prior experience required

  • Completion of required mandatory educational training

Job Duties

  • Adhere to all Standards of Behavior and exhibit excellent customer service skills
  • Communicate with patients, visitors and customers using appropriate designated scripting and engagement techniques
  • Clean and disinfect patient rooms and ancillary areas including bathrooms, public areas, corridors, and medication storage rooms using designated cleaning procedures
  • Clean inpatient and non-patient rooms including furniture, light fixtures, ceiling vents, windows, window coverings, restroom fixtures, IV poles, and other equipment
  • Replenish supplies, remove biomedical waste, trash and soiled linens, and change cubicle and window curtains as needed
  • Complete daily patient room and bathroom cleaning to accommodate discharges, admissions, and meet cleanliness standards
  • Maintain regular punctual attendance consistent with organizational policies and comply with all policies and procedures
