Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- No prior experience required
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow safety and cleaning protocols
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties which may include lifting and climbing
- Able to complete mandatory training
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to respond to common customer inquiries or complaints
- Good working knowledge of department-related computer systems including Bed Management systems
- Completion of required mandatory educational training
Job Duties
- Provide cleaning and disinfecting services to patient rooms and non-patient areas
- Clean bathrooms, public areas, corridors, medication storage rooms as directed
- Clean patient beds, furniture, light fixtures, ceiling vents, windows, window coverings, restroom fixtures, IV poles, Murphy beds, and other equipment
- Replenish supplies as needed and remove bio-medical waste, trash, and soiled linen
- Change cubicle and window curtains as needed
- Use designated cleaning chemicals and procedures
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners and perform tasks like pushing/pulling carts and climbing ladders
