Job Description

Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital is a forthcoming state-of-the-art healthcare facility set to open in Summer 2026 at 4000 Lakeland Highlands Road, Lakeland, Florida. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • No prior experience required
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow safety and cleaning protocols
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning duties which may include lifting and climbing
  • Able to complete mandatory training

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to respond to common customer inquiries or complaints
  • Good working knowledge of department-related computer systems including Bed Management systems
  • Completion of required mandatory educational training

Job Duties

  • Provide cleaning and disinfecting services to patient rooms and non-patient areas
  • Clean bathrooms, public areas, corridors, medication storage rooms as directed
  • Clean patient beds, furniture, light fixtures, ceiling vents, windows, window coverings, restroom fixtures, IV poles, Murphy beds, and other equipment
  • Replenish supplies as needed and remove bio-medical waste, trash, and soiled linen
  • Change cubicle and window curtains as needed
  • Use designated cleaning chemicals and procedures
  • Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners and perform tasks like pushing/pulling carts and climbing ladders
