Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- minimum 5 years of health and safety management experience
- current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
- 8-hour supervisor/refresher certification
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
- First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification
- ICS/NIMS training
- strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and NFPA regulations
- ability to lead emergency response teams
- excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- ability to conduct risk assessments and job hazard analyses
- experience with incident command systems
- ability to maintain accurate safety records
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field or 8 years of related field and management experience
- minimum 5 years of experience in health and safety management, preferably in hazardous waste or emergency response environments
- strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and NFPA regulations
- experience with emergency response planning and incident command systems (ICS)
- ability to lead safety initiatives and emergency teams effectively
- clear and professional verbal and written communication
- strong analytical skills to identify and resolve safety issues
- collaborative approach to working with diverse teams
- calm and flexible in dynamic or emergency situations
- thorough in inspections, documentation, and compliance
- supportive in mentoring staff and promoting safe practices
- current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and 8-hour supervisor/refresher as applicable

Job Duties
- Ensure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 and other applicable regulations
- develop, implement, and maintain the Site Health and Safety Plan (HASP) and Emergency Response Plan (ERP)
- lead emergency response efforts including chemical spills, fires, and medical emergencies
- serve as Incident Commander or Safety Officer during emergency events
- conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
- deliver HAZWOPER and emergency response training to site personnel
- investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
- maintain accurate safety records and report performance metrics
- collaborate with site supervisors, contractors, and regulatory agencies
