Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or associate degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant EHS experience
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of federal and state EHS regulations
  • Proven ability to manage multiple locations or teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver’s license may be required
  • Ability to travel between multiple sites
  • Pass pre-employment screening including drug test and background check

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of EHS experience with Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Associates degree with 7+ years EHS experience
  • 10+ years EHS experience with no degree
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Federal and local State regulations including OSHA, EPA, DOT
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sites and/or direct reports
  • Prior experience with controlled documentation and change management
  • Ability to read, understand, interpret and apply EHS regulations
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and IT systems
  • Effective communication skills with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to professionally represent CHG to outside agencies, customers, and vendors

Job Duties

  • Drive the implementation of CHG EHS programs and continuous improvement in EHS performance
  • Drive improvement and track goals achievement through collection, analysis and communication of EHS and KPI data
  • Lead EHS permitting processes and liaise with local regulatory authorities
  • Provide technical advice and develop plans to address environmental, health, or safety challenges
  • Support operations team in EHS program development, implementation, and improvement
  • Conduct EHS training courses and lead injury and illness tracking
  • Evaluate facility EHS conditions, assess risks, and develop corrective-action plans
