Job Requirements
- Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment with at least two onsite days per week
- Flexibility to travel up to 25 percent
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of safety and sustainability management experience
- Between 5-10 years technical procedure and policy writing experience
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and sustainability practices
- Certification in safety management preferred
- Certification in sustainability preferred
- Ability to operate in a process-driven team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and address issues outside normal working hours
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of safety and sustainability management experience, preferably in data center or similar environment
- Between 5-10 years of technical procedure and policy writing experience
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and sustainability practices
- Certification in safety management such as OSHA 30 preferred
- Certification in sustainability such as LEED preferred
- Experienced project management skills including budgeting, scheduling, and contract management
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software
- Strong training skills
- Ability to analyze data and prepare detailed reports
Job Duties
- Independently design and implement new safety and sustainability programs from the ground up
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures across data center and corporate operations
- Conduct comprehensive safety audits and inspections, ensuring strict compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, implementing corrective actions to mitigate future risks
- Manage the procurement, organization, and readiness of safety equipment across all sites
- Design and execute data-driven sustainability strategies to reduce ecological footprint
- Monitor and report on climate-related events and environmental performance metrics
- Collaborate with vendors and partners to source sustainable materials and technologies
- Engage with customers to support safety and sustainability reporting
- Deliver training programs on safety and sustainability topics
- Continuously evaluate and update training materials to reflect best practices and regulatory changes
- Prepare detailed reports on safety and sustainability performance for senior management
- Oversee complex safety, training, and sustainability reporting systems to ensure compliance
- Serve as subject matter expert in data governance for compliance reporting
- Promote CoreSite’s culture and values
- Perform special projects as assigned
