Job Requirements

  • Certificate, diploma or degree in environmental, health, and safety or related field
  • 10+ years EHS experience (manager role)
  • 7+ years EHS experience (specialist role)
  • 3+ years experience managing an EHS team (manager role)
  • 5+ years experience in corporate laboratory or research and development environment
  • Ability to develop, deploy and administer EHS programs in R&D
  • Excellent verbal, written and customer service skills

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years managing an EHS team (manager role)
  • 5+ years of EHS experience in corporate laboratory or research and development
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and administer EHS programs in R&D organizations
  • Excellent verbal, written, and customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Develop and support a comprehensive safety culture within a research and development environment
  • Build, administer, and instruct safety training, procedures, and compliance systems tailored to internal audiences
  • Partner with internal teams including facilities, lab management, supply chain, human resources, finance, and technical teams
  • Proactively engage with employees to understand concerns and work hazards
  • Assess environment, health, and safety risks and make recommendations
  • Provide technical expertise in occupational safety, environmental compliance, and sustainability
  • Drive investigations for incidents and accidents and ensure corrective actions are completed
