Job Requirements

- current EMT certification for the assigned location
- willingness to maintain training and certification requirements

- ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
- maintain composure under pressure
- able to work beyond scheduled hours including weekends and holidays
- able to communicate clearly in person and by phone
- capable of frequent sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs and uneven terrain
- able to lift or move up to 25 pounds
- willing to use personal protective equipment and maintain safety awareness
- able to handle sensitive and confidential information
Job Qualifications
- Current EMT certification
- high school diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of security officer experience
- 2-3 years of EMT experience
- CPR/AED and First Aid instructor certification
- excellent verbal and written communication skills including report writing
- strong customer and employee relations skills
- ability to work effectively as part of a team
- familiarity with safety regulations and emergency response protocols
Job Duties
- Respond to emergency situations including fire, medical, and emergency evacuations
- work with Security Management and Facilities staff on projects related to life safety
- conduct regular safety and equipment inspections and audits to identify potential hazards
- provide recommendations for corrective actions and monitor implementation
- investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes
- develop and implement corrective actions
- create and maintain comprehensive safety records including incident reports and training documentation
- schedule and deliver safety training programs covering emergency response, hazard identification, PPE, and safe work practices
- carry out Emergency Medical Practice Sessions with each Officer monthly
- ensure Security Officers maintain current CPR, AED, First Aid, Emergency Oxygen, and BBP certifications
- act as Ergonomic Administrator providing on-site evaluations and scheduling specialist appointments
- track ergonomic equipment spending and workflow
- assist with budget forecasts and training calendar for ERT personnel
- maintain certification expiration and training records
