Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- One year housekeeping or environmental services experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Certified Auto External Defibrillator (AED) preferred
- Ability to follow safety and infection control protocols
- Ability to work full time or part time
- Capacity to perform physical cleaning tasks including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to adhere to schedules and perform duties promptly
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred

- Certified Auto External Defibrillator (AED) training preferred
- Ability to use cleaning agents and equipment safely
- Knowledge of infection control standards
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Cleans all assigned areas including patient rooms, bathrooms, corridors, public areas, elevators, and ancillary areas such as nurses’ stations and laboratories by sweeping, washing, mopping, dusting, disinfecting, and sanitizing
- Uses the correct cleaners for the intended task and labels and stores chemicals safely and properly
- Restocks supplies and cleans carts daily to maintain smooth operations including paper goods, soaps, chemicals, and reusable items
- Maintains a safe patient care environment by complying with RHS, DNV, State, and regulatory standards
- Follows guidelines for proper body mechanics, hazardous materials handling, and universal precautions to prevent accidents and injuries
- Assures safe practices according to National Patient Safety Goals and RHS policies and procedures
- Performs cleaning duties in a timely, safe, and thorough manner in compliance with Infection Control Standards
- Ensures assignments are completed timely with quality infection control measures
- Monitors cleanliness continuously to maintain high quality and order according to policies and schedules
