Job Requirements

  • Six months to one year of housekeeping service delivery or floor maintenance experience preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • ability to work well under time constraints
  • ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • ability to work independently
  • basic knowledge of infection control procedures and universal precautions

Job Duties

  • Perform housekeeping project work including floorcare and carpet care functions
  • work independently or in groups to complete housekeeping maintenance tasks
  • adhere to general procedures and standards of the Environmental Service Department
  • practice standard precautions and infection control guidelines
  • make decisions to act on responsibilities without being instructed
  • train other department employees on project techniques and operating standards
  • maintain neat and clean work areas and equipment
  • follow safety regulations and dress code
  • maintain good personal hygiene and grooming
  • practice positive public relations
