Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds
  • basic knowledge of dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing
  • adherence to infection control policies
  • ability to communicate effectively with staff and supervisors
  • willingness to work part time day shift
  • ability to follow instructions
  • ability to respond pleasantly to requests

Job Qualifications

  • prior experience in housekeeping or environmental services preferred
  • basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and products
  • ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • good communication skills
  • physical ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds

  • commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment

Job Duties

  • Follow all cleaning processes as designated by training policies to ensure thorough cleaning of areas, fixtures, and surfaces daily or as assigned
  • comply with infection control policies and procedures
  • maintain good working relationships and communicate effectively with other departments, residents, families, and staff
  • respond pleasantly to all requests
  • communicate any problems encountered during daily routines to Housekeeping Supervisor
  • perform duties assigned by Housekeeping Supervisor or Director
  • carry out functions and responsibilities of housekeeping
  • follow written and verbal instructions and complete high school level computational skills
  • lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds as necessary
  • dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize assigned areas
