Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- One year of housekeeping or environmental services experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Certified Auto External Defibrillator (AED) preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to cleaning and moving equipment
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to infection control protocols
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- One year of housekeeping or environmental services experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Certified Auto External Defibrillator (AED) certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute preferred
Job Duties
- Clean all assigned areas including patient rooms, bathrooms, corridors, public areas, elevators, and ancillary areas such as nurses’ stations, laboratories, lounges, and locker rooms by sweeping, washing, mopping, dusting, disinfecting, and sanitizing
- Use the correct cleaners for each task and label/store chemicals safely and properly
- Restock supplies and clean carts daily to maintain smooth operations
- Maintain a safe patient care environment by complying with RHS, DNV, state and regulatory standards
- Assure safe practices following National Patient Safety Goals and RHS policies
- Perform cleaning duties timely, safely, and thoroughly in compliance with Infection Control Standards including dusting, sanitizing, trash removal
- Complete assignments on time ensuring quality and infection control measures are consistently met
- Monitor assigned areas continuously to uphold highest standards of cleanliness and orderliness
