Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to communicate positively with patients, families, and staff
- Ability to operate vacuums, buffers, shampooers, auto scrubbers, scrubbers, burnishers, carpet extractors, and other related equipment
- Ability to properly use communication devices such as beepers, cell phones, walkie-talkies
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds routinely and 60 pounds occasionally
- Ability to bend at waist and knees
- Ability to reach overhead
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods

Job Duties
- Perform routine cleaning in assigned areas according to policies
- Maintain sterile field as required
- Remove trash and soiled linen including beds and stretchers
- Replenish bathroom supplies
- Use cleaning chemicals following directions
- Restock carts and notify supervisor when supplies are low
- Perform meeting room setups when assigned
- Perform daily and restorative floor care
- Complete checklist and log duties completed
- Operate cleaning equipment per instructions
- Replace belts and bags and report equipment failures
- Clean equipment as directed
- Arrive and depart work on time
- Report to work on scheduled days without excessive absenteeism
- Follow sign in/out procedures for equipment
- Report to work in uniform and maintain clean uniform
- Attend departmental and mandatory annual training sessions
- Promote safety and communicate clearly
