Job Requirements

  • None required
  • Ability to read, write and speak/understand verbal communication in English in order to follow instructions and perform daily tasks
  • Experience in operating environmental services equipment including dust mop, wet mop, bucket and wringer, spray bottles, and dustpan
  • Ability to work flexible schedule when needed
  • Must be able to work with and around chemicals, including acidic and alkaline in nature
  • Must be able to perform heavy physical work involving exertion of 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally
  • Must be able to work in patient care environment with potential exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous waste
  • Must comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand verbal communication in English to follow instructions
  • Basic knowledge of housekeeping, cleaning and cleaning equipment/supplies
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedule
  • Ability to listen and take direction and complete job tasks with minimal supervision
  • Preferred high school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred 1 year relevant experience

Job Duties

  • Maintains assigned area in a clean and aseptic manner
  • Maintains Environmental closet and equipment in a clean, aseptic and orderly manner
  • Assists with restock of cafe and bar where necessary
  • Assists with special cleaning projects and room turnover
  • Follows all current Joint Commission / CMS regulations pertaining to Environment of Care and Cleaning requirements
  • Performs other related duties as required
  • Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements and ensures compliance
