Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of experience in entry level support mechanic roles within baggage handling or automated material handling systems
- ability to clear and reset operational issues including jams
- mechanical troubleshooting skills
- ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance
- positive and professional attitude
- ability to work in fast-paced, noisy, and variable temperature environments
- flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays
- physical ability to walk and stand frequently in large airport facilities
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of experience for entry level support mechanic in baggage handling systems and/or automated systems in material handling industries operations and maintenance
- ability to clear, reset, and address any operational issues such as jams
- ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical related issues
- must be able to obtain and maintain airport security clearance
- positive, professional attitude and demeanor
- solutions focused while maintaining the highest level of customer service
Job Duties
- perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance including dismantling, repair and rebuilding of equipment
- responsible for maintaining all mechanical components within the system
- installation inspection, assessment, maintenance, repair, and/or refurbish all mechanical parts, components and/or assemblies within the system
- ensure baggage is moving optimally along the system, clear and monitor potential jams
- cleaning of the system and surrounding areas
- diagnosing, adjusting and/or resetting improper functions
- maintain and operate the ICS according to the OEM manuals
- perform other duties as required
