Job Requirements
- bachelor’s of science in civil or electrical engineering
- engineer in training (EIT) certification is preferred
- 0-3 years experience in the field of traffic engineering
- familiarity with ITS technologies and wireless communications is a plus
- familiarity with NJDOT, NJTA, NYSDOT, NYCDOT, and/or PANYNJ highway projects preferred but not required

Job Duties
- work with a team of engineers, planners, and technicians on roadway and transit projects
- perform field investigations, assisting in traffic analysis, design, and construction support tasks
- ability to learn planning and design aspects of projects
- prepare construction cost estimates and quantities
- design traffic signals and signal timings per agency standards
- prepare traffic signal plans
- experienced in or have the ability to learn traffic modeling
