Job Requirements

  • At least two years of culinary experience
  • Valid California Food Handlers Certification
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Basic knowledge of sushi preparation
  • Culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare basic and intermediate cooking items including soups, sauces, stocks, frying, and broiling
  • Perform sushi preparation and follow established recipes
  • Work efficiently across multiple kitchen stations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen team members
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards including California Food Handlers Certification
  • Satisfy guest dietary preferences and support a fast-paced kitchen environment
