Job Requirements

  • ability to taste dairy and plant based products and ingredients
  • identify and compare color, appearance, flavor, mouthfeel etc for sensory evaluation and product development purpose
  • ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs of weight
  • some travel to remote facilities, food shows and conferences

Job Qualifications

  • bs in food science or related field
  • one year r&d experience in dairy or food
  • sound knowledge and understanding of food ingredients, food chemistry, analytical chemistry, rheology, shelf life, sensory studies and food safety
  • deliver quality work within the assigned timeline
  • quick learner with adaptability and integrity

Job Duties

  • assist the r&d team in conducting work in the areas of product-process development / improvement and scale up as assigned
  • conduct related physico-chemical analytical work, sensory and shelf life studies as directed
  • create and provide product samples for cross-functional evaluation and for customers
  • participate in evaluating competitor products as well as novel and alternate ingredients
  • maintain the labs and pilot plant in a clean and excellent working condition
  • participate in product evaluation and ideation
  • document r&d work and prepare and submit reports maintaining confidentiality
  • participate in product scale up at remote facilities as required
