Job Requirements
- Ability to work mid-August through mid-November
- availability for various shifts including weekends and overtime
- ability to identify, analyze, and correct data discrepancies with precision
- excellent oral and written communication skills
- ability to work independently and with a team
- valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- ability to stand and walk over uneven terrain
- able to lift up to 55 lbs
- flexible scheduling
- willingness to work long hours during peak harvest
Job Qualifications
- Background in enology, plant and beverage sciences, or wine industry
- excellent organizational and communication skills
- experience with computer applications including Excel and Word
- interest in winemaking processes
- ability to work well independently and in teams
- previous harvest experience preferred
- familiarity with Vintrace software a plus
- strong sense of commitment
- self-starter attitude
Job Duties
- Maturity sampling organization and analysis
- instrument calibration and daily operation
- fruit processing analysis and additions
- fermentation tracking and record keeping
- conducting juice trials
- sample collection, preparation, and analysis
- previous vintage analysis and maintenance
- assist winemaking team in fruit processing, cap management, tank and equipment cleaning, additions, barrel preparation, cleaning, filling, and emptying
