Job Description

The Orange County Fair Entertainment Department is a dynamic and integral part of the annual Orange County Fair. The department is responsible for organizing and managing a variety of entertainment programs and events designed to engage and delight fair attendees. This department operates within the larger Orange County Fairgrounds organization—a well-established venue renowned for hosting diverse community events, exhibitions, and entertainment activities. Job Requirements

  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • must be able to work prior to the annual fair
  • ability to work outside the normal business day/week as required by events and programs
  • must have good verbal and written communication
  • must be flexible in order to meet the changing demands of the department
  • ability to follow rules and processes for consistency
  • must be friendly, helpful and able to effectively handle hectic situations
  • skilled at successfully handling and prioritizing multiple tasks

Job Qualifications

  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • strong computer skills, particularly in Google Docs and Sheets and Microsoft Office including Outlook and Excel
  • possess good customer service skills
  • ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment
  • must be able to work prior to the annual fair
  • ability to work outside the normal business day/week as required by events and programs
  • must have good verbal and written communication
  • possess good teamwork skills, time management and the ability to collaborate effectively with others
  • must be flexible in order to meet the changing demands of the department
  • ability to follow rules and processes for consistency
  • must be friendly, helpful and able to effectively handle hectic situations
  • skilled at successfully handling and prioritizing multiple tasks

Job Duties

  • assists with administrative aspects of the entertainment program
  • develops and maintains a variety of department reports and spreadsheets
  • collaborates with the entertainment department to create and manage a successful community entertainment program
  • assists with venue set up prior to the fair
  • assists with daily coordination at various venues and stages under the management of the department
  • may perform other duties as directed, requested or assigned
