The Entertainment Event Technician Internship offers a dynamic opportunity within the entertainment and live performance industry. This role is designed for individuals passionate about the technical aspects of live events and theater productions. The internship is part of a broader entertainment company specializing in producing seasonal live shows and performances. Job Requirements

  • Minimum age 18
  • Shifts dependent on production needs
  • Basic technical theatrical skills required for all positions
  • Expert skills required for some positions
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for the length of shift
  • Must be able to work with ladders, scaffolding or lifts
  • Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Must be professional, self-motivated, able to multitask and have an enthusiastic attitude
  • Must have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with others

Job Duties

  • Work with Entertainment Management on the execution of a season-long project
  • Operate and maintain technical support on equipment associated with specific productions
  • Perform all shows on time and as designed by Entertainment Management
  • Execute cue and show specific job duties as set by Production Staff and Entertainment Management
  • Be involved in rehearsal and operation of productions under Production Staff direction
  • Navigate in, on, or around scenic elements in potentially dark and restrictive spaces
  • Climb ladders and work at heights exceeding 35 feet
  • Lift more than 50 pounds
  • Maintain clean and safe atmosphere in all venue areas
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely with appropriate personal protection equipment
  • Manage and maintain the House before and after shows, assist guests and clean the house for next performance
  • Adhere to and enforce all park policies and procedures
  • Wear and maintain park-issued uniform
  • Report any unsafe acts immediately to the unit Stage Manager
  • Train new personnel as needed
