Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience with EHR systems such as AllScripts and EPIC
- strong communication and multitasking skills
- prior experience in a medical receptionist or similar administrative role
- ability to handle high call and patient volume
- ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- professional demeanor
- ability to work onsite in Virginia Beach, VA

Job Duties
- Answering phone calls
- checking patients in and out for audiology
- assisting patients with questions
- scheduling appointments using EHR systems (AllScripts and EPIC)
- faxing orders into the system
- handling requests from providers for patient information and records
- verifying insurance
- collecting co-pays
- updating demographics
- managing 40-50 referrals daily and scheduling patients accordingly
- handling physical paper chart preparation for providers
- managing patient volume of 30-60 per day
- managing high call volume primarily related to referrals
