Job Requirements

  • Relevant coursework or specialized training
  • Minimum of sophomore standing working towards an undergraduate degree
  • Less than 1 year of relevant experience
  • Detail-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Forms
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule as directed by supervisor
  • Availability to attend various events as needed
  • Ability to coordinate scheduling to accommodate academic commitments

Job Qualifications

  • Relevant coursework or specialized training
  • Minimum of sophomore standing working towards an undergraduate degree in event planning, hospitality management, communication studies, business administration, marketing, public relations or related field
  • Less than 1 year of relevant experience
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Office, and Forms
  • Experience with social media and event coordination preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist with planning and executing college events including ceremonies, fairs, meetings, and student-focused activities
  • Prepare event materials such as signage, packets, name badges, supplies, and décor
  • Support day-of logistics including setup, check-in, hosting, and teardown
  • Help manage event timelines, task lists, and run-of-show documents
  • Maintain and update event-related spreadsheets, attendance lists, and tracking documents
  • Review vendor contracts, quotes, and service agreements and flag items needing clarification or approval
  • Draft and send event-related communications, reminders, and follow-up messages to students, faculty, staff, and external partners
  • Respond to participant questions and direct inquiries to appropriate staff
  • Assist with collecting feedback through surveys or debrief meetings
  • Help summarize event outcomes, track key metrics, and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Attend and assist with as many events as possible and coordinate scheduling with the Event Coordinator to accommodate academic commitments
