Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Two years related student services experience or related work experience specific to the duties and responsibilities
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work on-site during prescribed hours
- Must be able to obtain Texas Driver License if not currently held
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as schedule varies
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to maintain confidentiality according to FERPA
- Ability to travel as required using personal or school vehicles
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Two years related student services experience or related work experience
- Knowledge of Health Science programs and STEM
- Knowledge of student enrollment and transfer processes
- Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish preferred
- Texas Driver License or ability to obtain one
Job Duties
- Maintain student confidentiality in accordance with FERPA
- Prepare students each semester for completion and entry into healthcare professions and STEM careers
- Liaise with universities for transfer options beyond Temple College
- Formulate job postings and networking opportunities for pre-graduate and post-graduate students
- Provide advising services and information on healthcare and STEM majors to students, faculty, parents, and the public
- Coordinate and communicate with student and enrollment services staff on Health Sciences and STEM pathways
- Conduct outreach and recruitment programs with ISDs and participate in related faculty and staff events
- Support student persistence and develop case management strategies focused on Health Sciences and STEM careers
- Participate in training to identify mental health problems and attend career and transfer workshops
- Maintain documentation and records of services provided
- Operate multiple telephone lines and office equipment
- Refer students requiring accommodations
- Assist with admission, records documents, and academic transfer advising
- Respond to retention alerts and assist at-risk students
- Develop relationships with ISD Health Science instructors and assist with recruitment
- Perform miscellaneous job-related office duties as required
