- minimum one year experience in hotel or related field

Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- at least one year of experience in a hotel or related field
- two years of progressive experience preferred
- trade school or college coursework in related field preferred
- strong mechanical and electrical repair skills
- ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams
- supervisory experience preferred
- effective communication skills
- ability to multitask and prioritize
- problem-solving capabilities
- knowledge of local, state and federal maintenance codes
- ability to maintain confidentiality

Job Duties
- Make repairs to hotel air conditioning system including changing filters, cleaning coils, and replacing motors
- perform preventive maintenance on all equipment such as boilers, chillers, HVAC, and electrical systems
- take required equipment readings and test cooling towers
- replace and program televisions
- replace light switches, receptacles, light bulbs, and fixtures
- perform furniture repairs
- replace and repair pumps
- perform plumbing repairs including clogged drains, copper pipe, washers, handles, and fittings
- read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams
- trace and repair all types of water lines
- troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment
- maintain repair and preventive maintenance records
- ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes
- test, clean, and repair swimming pools and spas
- paint designated areas
- repair and finish sheet rock
- repair all types of wall coverings
- repair and program hotel electronic lock systems
- assist in supervising engineering staff
- assist in scheduling preventive maintenance tasks
